Covid Safe Cycling Holidays

COVID Safe Cycling Holidays

We will be doing everything we can to provide COVID safe cycling holidays in 2022.

Our unique centre based approach to cycling holidays and our rural location gives us a head start.

Private Accommodation

We’re fortunate that the guest accommodation at Le Gué de Ray is flexible and can offer our guests safe social distancing, even if we have a number of different guest groups on site. The maximum number on any cycling holiday is ten people.

If you wish, you and your immediate travelling companions will be able to eat and relax in totally private accommodation. We have three separate suites which all include a terrace, dining room and lounge. It doesn’t matter whether you are a couple or a group of four or six we can provide a private and safe space for you.

The pool area is easily managed as we will designate a lounging area to each travelling group. The pool is chlorinated and the COVID virus does not survive in chlorinated water. This was established very early on in the pandemic.

Out on the bikes

You will be provided with your own bike and equipment for your entire stay. The equipment will have been disinfected prior to your arrival and will be sprayed daily.

Out on the road, social distancing is easy and our rural environment enables COVID safe cycling holidays. We’re a sparsely populated area and you won’t be finding crowds anywhere you go. You’ll need to wear a mask at various times during your stay and we’ll advise you on the regulations in place when you arrive.

If necessary, we will not mix guests from different travelling parties on end of route mini-bus pickups. Masks will be provided for mini-bus trips.

Standard hygiene measures

COVID has made washing our hands and using sanitiser more important than ever. You will find hand sanitiser and soap throughout our accommodation and we encourage you to use it.

Masks will be available and we will be constantly disinfecting and cleaning bikes, equipment and the property.

Enjoy a COVID safe cycling holiday this year

So, with a rural location, private suites where you can dine safely and a strict cleaning regime for both bikes and the properties, we aim to provide brilliant COVID safe cycling holidays in 2022.

You might even experience moments, cycling along a quiet back road, when COVID seems another world away – now wouldn’t that be a great holiday?!

Why Loire Life Cycling will still be here after Covid-19

Many businesses will be unable to withstand the loss of business due to Covid-19.  When there is no income, paying the wages, rent, loans and fixed costs becomes impossible.

Loire Life Cycling Holidays will still be here when this is all over and it will end – these things always do.

Le Gué de Ray, our base for cycling holidays, is wholly owned and we have always taken an organic approach to growing our business, so we don’t have onerous loans.

Helped by state aid for tourism businesses, managing our costs carefully and making sure we gained business from local markets, we have got through this and are looking forward to 2022!
