The Bikes on your Loire Valley Cycling holiday
Cycling holidays in France are about relaxing and soaking up the scenery without
pain! So, the bikes we offer to our guests reflect this philosophy. You’ll find
relaxed gearing and an upright cycling position. We want you to be comfortable and
spend your time looking around at the Loire Valley rather than at your handle bars!.
The bikes come in a range of sizes for ladies and men and the handle-bars and seats
have a wide range of adjustment.
In France, these bikes are described as ‘Velos tout Chemin or VTC for short, and with wider tyres than a racing bike, but not as fat as those on a mountain bike, VTCs are at home on the road and riverside path. Increasingly, the bikes in our fleet have front suspension to smooth out any bumps in the terrain and increase your comfort.
Each bike is equipped with water bottle holder, mileage computer, puncture repair
spray, cycle lock, map holder and a handle-bar bag to take your wallet, camera etc.
We also provide fluorescent jackets, which are obligatory in poor light and helmets.
