Loire Valley Cycling Tours from an accessible location!
The perfect location for a Loire Valley cycling holiday. Easily accessible from anywhere in the world, yet deep in the heart of rural France and the Loire Valley.
Our cycling base at ‘Gue de Ray’ provides a relaxing retreat and the perfect base
from which to cycle. We are 15kms north of the wine town of Bourgueil, 20kms north-west
of Saumur and on the edge of the Regional Park of Anjou-Touraine.
Previous guests have found us ideally located for travelling onward to other parts of Europe as part of a European Tour, utilising the fantastic rail links that exist from the Loire Valley.
We don’t provide packages that include travel tickets, but we are more than willing to provide advice on how to get to us in the most effective way.
A pickup and set-down from Saumur train station is available for £25 per person at
the time of booking (Discovery and Wine & Dine Tours only). The pickup is at 5pm
on the Sunday and drop off is around 8.20am to enable you to catch the Saturday morning
scheduled services to Tours and Angers respectively.

Loire Valley By Air
Fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle and transfer by high speed rail link direct from the airport terminal to St Pierre des Corp (Tours) station. Than take a frequent regional train to Saumur. Time 2.5 hours.
Fly Ryanair from London Stansted, Dublin and Manchester to Tours Loire Valley, use bus transfer to Tours Centre train station and take a regional train to Saumur. Time 2 hours.
