Christmas Market at Turquant, France – destination on our Discovery Cycle Tour

Cycling Holidays France – Turquant, France

On our Discovery Cycling Tour here in France, you visit Turquant – a Troglodyte (or cave) village.  Turquant is becoming well known as a home for French artisans and craftspeople and in keeping with growing tradition, this weekend Turquant hosted a Christmas market with many french artisans showing off their wares.  However, artisans aside, we always enjoy the french street food on offer and here in Anjou they make a doughy bread called Fouee, which they split and fill with savoury or sweet (mostly chocolate) fillings – on a cold winter’s day – yumm!
